Description: Come to the quintessential whodunit thriller at the estate of Sir Warren Peace (Ladies’ Library) and get thrown into a night of mystery, intrigue and murder.
With a killer crowd of people just waiting for murder to arrive on the scene, this night will keep everyone looking over their shoulders and guesting who will be the next victim. Bribe suspects for clues and gather information to reveal the unhinged guest who is whacking all the invitees. Be careful, because you could be next!

Description: Children need special doctors, nurses, equipment and treatments. Kalamazoo is fortunate to have the only Children’s Hospital serving Southwest and South Central Michigan. Dr Megan Sikkema, one of Bronson’s Female Physicians, will share the joys and challenges of providing services to calm and aid in children’s healing.

Details: Member Grace Anne Kalafut presents “Hats, Hair and History” at 6 p.m. Also, local vendors display women’s goods. Food and beverages provided. Attendees encouraged to bring Books of Babies donation of a new or gently used book for kids 0-4 years. Reservations required.

Presenter: Tony Humrichouser
Description: In 1935 Manhattan, society women fret over beauty ideals imposed on them by an unforgiving culture. And center to it all are the empires of Elizabeth Arden and Helena Rubenstein. War Paint exposes the rivalry between the two most important women of the cosmetics industry from the 1930s to the 1960s. The Civic’s Artistic Director, Tony Humrichouser, will share details of this Tony award nominated musical.

Presenter: Linda Coppens, LLA Member
Description: In mid nineteenth century America, women who wanted to pursue a college degree or professional training had few options. Most colleges did not admit women. Indeed, public opinion held strong that women did not need, and should not have advanced education. Reading from her book, What American Women Did, 1789 -1920, LLA Member, Linda Coppens will introduce some courageous, persistent, and inspiring women whose accomplishments helped change this perception, and opened up increasing educational opportunities for women. They were teachers, students, and school founders and funders.
The Park Club will cater our luncheon.
